The students know the theoretical basics of designing integrated high frequency circuits up to the millimeter wave range as well as their technological limits.

content

The advances in semiconductor technology have enabled integrated circuits to reach ever higher operating frequencies up to the millimeter-wave range (> 30GHz), which were recently still reserved for classical high-frequency technologies. this research area combines the high-frequency technology with microelectronics in a new way an drives new applications in the field od the measurement and communication technology (for example, automotive radar systems and wireless GBit). The lecture is aimed especially at students of "Electronics" (EL) and "High Frequency Sensors and Systems" (HSS)
